This week, I am working on updating my old books, editing Chris and Adaline’s and Lainey and Kyle’s stories, and writing Penelope and Trace’s story. I have a plan to republish my old books, Look Me in the Eyes and Deep Scars and Grave Mistakes, on September first. Chris and Adaline’s story will be published on December fifth. Lainey and Kyle’s story will be available in the fall of 2027, and Penelope and Trace’s story will be available in the spring of 2027.
So far, I haven’t done much work on Look Me in the Eyes because I’m choosing to focus on Deep Scars and Grave Mistakes first, but I do want to begin editing that story this week. For Deep Scars and Grave Mistakes, I will begin edits this week as well, but I have already begun updating the cover. I used ChatGPT to create a few images of what Carly and Milo look like in real life and then created my own graphics of them based on the images. I plan on doing the same thing with Look Me in the Eyes except I will be completely redoing the cover. My friend and alpha reader, Taylor Mietzner, will be reading through them as an extra set of eyes for me. Marketing for these two books will begin in June.

Chris and Adaline’s story is coming along well and will be ready for publishing in December! Yesterday, I made a post on Instagram teasing their story with the song that inspired the book, Drunk Girl by Chris Janson, but real marketing for the book will begin in September. Readers can look forward to book title and cover reveals, and other content then. Taylor and another friend of mine, Grace Delaney, have read through Chris and Adaline’s story and given great feedback as alpha readers. Now, I am going through their comments to properly edit this book. Soon, I will be looking for Beta and ARC readers, which readers will be able to apply for after those announcements. I also created images of Chris and Adaline using ChatGPT and will be using those for marketing and for creating my own graphics.

Lainey and Kyle’s story won’t be released for over a year, but that gives me plenty of time to work on their story to make it the best it can be! I think a lot needs to be added to it, so I’m glad I have the time to do it. I plan to finish my first read through and round of edits by May 15th, finish my second read through and round of edits by June 15th, and send the story to Taylor and Grace as soon as that’s done. I wrote this book while I was pregnant and much of my own experience is written into it, so this story means a lot to me.
Penelope and Trace’s story has been really fun to write so far. I think I’m a little less than halfway through writing it, so I’m hoping I can finish it by June. Unfortunately, I have been having some writer’s block, though, so hopefully that will pass. Their story is the first in my fictional town series (which still needs a name). I’ve written over 30,000 words so far. I’ve made a few TikTok videos about it, and people seem to be really interested! I can’t wait to do more work on it and see everything come to fruition!
